Tyler Gordon was born in Louisville, KY in 1989. He completed his BFA in studio art from the University of Louisville in 2012. Tyler’s medium of focus is glass. He has been the recipient of the very selective Bill Fisher Award for Three Dimensional Studies in Art as well as the Bolz Scholarship- an award specific to glass studies.

Tyler was a Traveling Assistant at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio it was a competitive, juried position. He has worked nationally for studios in Kentucky, Florida, Virginia, and Wisconsin. He has also worked as a professional neon bender in Louisville, KY. At Pilchuck Glass School, Tyler has held many leadership rolls.  Currently he is pursuing a MFA in glass at University of Wisconsin-Madison with specific focus on the genealogy of lampworking and glass history.
